Todorov's Theory

This lesson we learnt about Todorov's theory of the five stages. He suggested that many narratives
regardless of the genre, could be broken down into specific stages for analysis. The five parts are used to explain the beginning, middle and end.

Next we looked at creating our own storyline for a thriller. Once we had developed our ideas we looked at how our storyline fits into Todorov's theory.

My idea would fit in with the genre of psychological thriller. It focuses on a women who has been leading a double life and has gotten into trouble. She looks for help but no one believes her story. I decided to end it on a cliff hanger as it keep the audience intrigued for the next instalment.
